Outfit: pink lady

We’ve had a lot of baby blue around here lately, so it was about time that some baby pink had its turn! After all, it could well be a little girl currently kicking the living daylights out of me in my stomach… True story: this baby was so active one particular day last week that I was genuinely worried something was wrong and had to get a midwife to check it. Nope, turns out I’ve just got a bruiser in there. Probably quite literally as it gets bigger.

Otherwise, all is well. If ‘well’ is numerous digestive complaints, various aches and pains, and feet the size of cats by the end of the day. I’m told it is… Pregnancy is fun! As is dressing for it. Honestly, I can’t keep up with my expanding frame. The shirt in these photos was a beautiful fit on my bust just two weeks ago. And now I’m at real risk of popping a button and had to secretly safety pin it more firmly shut. I was hoping to get more wear out of it because it’d be such a great summer staple but it’s not to be… If you’re not expanding rapidly like I am, this is a great item for your wardrobe because unlike a lot of shirts it has some stretch in it. It also comes in a cute mint green too.

Such are the perils of attempting to wear non-maternity range clothes at 7 months into this pregnancy. The shorts in this post are maternity wear – and they have the dubious effect of sort of disguising the bump from the front. Then I turn to the side and… HELLO! See below for what I mean. The bump is now measuring bang on what it should be, so it’s really not that I’m small – I just somehow keep picking outfits that curiously mask it…

And with that, I’m off to be a hippo bridesmaid at one of my best friend’s wedding this Friday! Wish me luck in not bursting a seam on my dress, because it’s a very real possibility…

Such a cute summery outfit, and I really love the pink glitter sunnies! They add that perfect touch of something special!

Those sunnies are my absolute favourite pair I own <3 I thought when I bought them 'you never wear pink, this is such a waste of money!' but they're a pretty great neutral actually. I just wish Bonlook would bring out more pastel shades of them...

AHHH-DORABLE! I love this – and your bump is getting cuter and cuter by the day (despite you getting kicked non-stop)!

It’s only cute from the outside in that case 😉 Actually it’s weird how different it looks in different outfits – there’s some where it’s a beast and others like this where it’s barely noticeable…

You look super cute! I haven’t been reading any blogs in like months and the moment I look at my read list, I find this. You look really lovely with that cute baby bump and the outfit is wonderful and summery and keeping up with your style so well. Now I have to check your older blog posts to see what other lovely outfits you have come up with 🙂

Aw, thank you 🙂 It really is a challenge when 95% of your wardrobe is out of bounds, but I guess I wouldn’t be a blogger if I didn’t give it a go!!

You’re 7 months along now? I feel like it was just a couple of weeks ago that you were announcing your pregnancy! Crazy how time flies. This is such a cute look on you! I love the printed shorts, and tying up the top over your belly really cute way to get around any fit issues.

Ha you’re not the first person to say that and my answer is the same as it is to everyone: time has flown quickly for everyone but me!! I feel like I’ve been pregnant for a thousand years. I sometimes have anxiety about how quickly time passes but genuinely not been an issue while pregnant…

Oh I do hope you had a good time at your friend’s wedding! Your hair looked beautiful in that pic I saw.

This outfit is certainly very summery, I see you are fully embracing every bit of sunshine we are currently getting! The pink and green combination is always a winner, it’s been quite trendy this year in all the fashion mags too. Let’s hope you get to wear these shorts a little longer, and don’t have to navigate more cooler weather maternity purchases!

Yes Amy did such a great job with my hair – with a little creative input from me because I can’t help myself 😉 I had a lovely time being a bridesmaid but I wouldn’t recommend being heavily pregnant as one if it can be avoided… I didn’t make it to the end!

My maternity wardrobe is much better suited to summer, which actually is a nice mirror of my actual wardrobe because for some reason I think I live somewhere tropical rather than the UK? Summer clothes are just much more fun, bump or no! xx
