Outfit: a puppy for life – and Christmas!

So, this post comes to you two days – just two days – before I get my very own dog! Who just so happens to be the sweetest puppy you ever did see (as evidenced on Instagram). I’ve waited to have my own dog for so long, there’s a part of me that doesn’t really believe it’s happening. There’s another part of me that’s been feeling under the weather the past week and doesn’t have the energy to do a lot more than want to go to sleep. But somewhere in there, is the very excited part of me that feels like all their Christmases have come at once.
And it’s kind of perfect that we get him at Christmas, although it wasn’t planned that way. I will finish work for the year, then jump in the car to get him and kick off the holidays. Pretty perfect. So, this Christmas I have dogs on my mind and I couldn’t help but swoon at this new doggy print colourway from Seamstress of Bloomsbury. It was time to explore their offerings again, thought I, after I loved the Clara dress so much from the summer.
What you’re seeing here is actually a top and skirt worn together. Like this they look a lot like the Peggy dress, but with the versatility of being separates. I’m all about my separates! Like the Clara dress, the quality is lovely of these pieces and they fit and hang so nicely. I learned from my mistakes the last time and opted for size 8s and they were a much better fit for me than the 10 was. I love how this green can be both autumnal or festive, depending on your mood – obviously, my mood is of the festive variety at this time of year!

Congrats on your new puppy! They are hard work at the beginning but so worth it, going by the dates I’m guessing you have him already and are hopelessly in love! It’s crazy how quickly you just can’t imagine your life without them – and so lovely to have him in time for Christmas too! Enjoy x
