It’s here, it’s here, spring is here!! I couldn’t be more excited about the longer days and warmer weather. And daffodils everywhere, yay for daffodils. And even more than that, pulling out some clothes I haven’t worn for what feels like forever. Because winter generally feels like it’s never-ending to someone who hates it as much as I do.
I actually managed to wear my favourite capris (now back in stock – see link below) without my calves freezing off, hooray! This outfit was inspired by my new pink lemonade brooch from Erstwilder. It’s so darn cute – I mean, I like their jewellery a lot and it often pops up here, but I love the colours and fun summery vibe of this one so much I decided it should inspire a whole look. It’s not often I wear pink and yellow together because no one needs reminding of Mr Blobby, but actually that’s a shame because look how good it is! This outfit is ticking all my matching boxes, I’m even matching the flowers. Soooo goooood.
So, you’ve seen many of these items before, the shoes quite recently, but you haven’t seen this top. I’m not 100% sold on how flattering it is on me and to make that worse about 60% of the photos from this day I had a sizeable double chin. I don’t think it’s a coincidence as this top is high-necked, although I’m quite capable of a double chin without that… Anyway, I quite like the colour because I don’t have any baby pink already really and it’s quite nice with a monochrome polka dot, so I’m not getting rid of it just yet. I mean, just look at how well it matches this brooch, it would be a crime!
Oh, do take a closer look at my earrings by the way. They are indeed little blackberries! I have Porcelina to thank for them, as they fell out of my Christmas card last year. I didn’t even manage to send a card… Mind you, I would never have thrifted such a cool gift!
