If I’m being completely honest, if it wasn’t for the fact I have a penchant for dressing up in nice things, I am so inherently lazy I would basically be a cartoon character, wearing the same thing every day. Obviously, sometimes I do enjoy putting the effort into my outfits and if I didn’t why on earth am I writing a style blog…?
But… like I say, I’m also really lazy about what I wear sometimes. And if I’m not going somewhere fun I’m probably wearing jeans or leggings with whatever top happens to be clean at the time. The wanting to look nice vs wanting to put in minimal effort are at constant war with each other and the minimal effort part often wins. However, even when I’m lazy I don’t want to look bad or not like me, so this is basically exactly what I might do (although with slightly more effort cos, you know, it’s going on the blog and everything)… I’m even in my back yard and everything, as I genuinely went nowhere this day.
Meet my new favourite pair of jeans. I got a bit too fed up with the dye transference and also the fact I was really wearing a size too small in these ASOS ones from last year, so have been seeking to replace them ever since. And guess what, they’re from Collectif. You’re all really surprised aren’t you? It’s not like I wrote an entire post about buying most of their stock from the last five years, or anything (or that I have another one about them coming). The good thing about this Rebel Kate style, which I can’t say about some of their other pairs, is the waist is high but not too high – it’s perfect for the petite lady, or if you want something less subtle for comfortable everyday wear. The only unfortunate thing is they seem to have flown out of stock again, but do seem to be available through many third party sellers / eBay.
You do look great in a head scarf. This outfit suits you very much.
When I'm at home I'm also wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I need something that is pug friendly.
bisous

I'm just getting ready for the days when I need clothes that are dog friendly 😉
You look wonderful! I really like those jeans…actually I like everything about this outfit. I'd wear this to church.
You look better on your lazy day's then I do on my dressed up days! I need to find some good jeans, haven't had any for a long time.

I do recommend Collectif but to a point – some of their more recent styles have been as high-waisted as Freddies jeans and that's just no good for us short stuff, without alterations! New Look have got some good/similar options to the above at the moment, I'd recommend checking them out.
I love those jeans but what a shame they are out of stock, will have to look for something similar!
Great post!

If you're in the UK I'd suggest New Look, but if you're in the US Modcloth have had some that are somewhat similar recently 🙂
You look so fab! I love these jeans on you – the high waist and the seaming are so flattering, and manage to read retro without looking like a "mom jean". I know I said this last time, but I so wish Collectif was more accessible where I live. Every time I see their stuff, I just want it a little bit more. A great pair of vintage looking jeans is at the top of my list right now, I really have to find a pair before fall rolls around again.
I think the detail helps with the non mom jean affect and the fact they're not *quite* as high-waisted as they could be. Such a shame you can't get hold of Collectif easily, but you've got Modcloth and they stock so much stuff that either is Collectif or is similar! I feel the same way you do about Collectif, about Modcloth!
Soooooo pretty!!! Seriously! This outfit marries elegance with fun in the most appealing, classy, fantastic kind of way. I'm smitten and so wish I had leopard shoes to pair with dark denim for a similar look (let the thrifting search begin! :)). You really look awesome, sweet dear!
♥ Jessica
Indeed, I love my leopard shoes 🙂 Comfy and cute! Thanks Jessica 🙂 x
Those jeans are very Rizzo from Grease. What a fab day time look!
I am a big fan of this compliment! Who wouldn't want to channel Rizzo?!
You look so pretty! I definitely can relate with you about the laziness (and about being a cartoon character), I was always jealous of spongebob in episodes he opens his closet, and all you see are a lot of outfits that look exactly the same! 😀
I love your headscarf very much, it adds beautiful color to the outfit, and you tied it very lovely!
I noticed something- haven't you post one of those photos in an outfit posing tips post? I'm almost sure you did!

Ha, exactly!
Great spot, I did indeed use one of these photos in my posing tips post! Which just goes to show how long I hoard some of my outfit photos for 😉 How embarrassing that I was found out, heh!
Gorgeous! I love wearing a casual high-waist jean combo, I love the matching top and shoes + your hairstyle too. You look so good in those jeans!! x
Thanks, Kayla! Matching everything is my favourite 😉 x
You look very nice! It's such a good feeling when you find jeans that actually fit and feel great! I am sadly still on the hunt!! SIGH!

Definitely – and it's so hard to find a pair that look good. Fingers crossed for you! High-waisted definitely has a higher success rate, in my experience…
Finding a great pair of jeans that fit well can seem like an impossible quest! I really like these, the detailing is a bit unusual and makes them look that bit special. This really is a fabulous casual look.
For sure, I love the detailing 🙂 It's a bit western! Thank you 🙂
Goodmorning "lazy" CIci,
well maybe it's a casual everday look…but… it's charming & powerful!…You shine such charisma!
greetings
Sometimes I think you're my biggest fan, Aurè. Thanks for the compliments, as ever!
love the outfit 🙂 beautiful
Love this outfit!
Also, I am loving your blog 🙂 Say hello to a new follower xox
Hello Sammy! I'm honoured 🙂 x
You're one of my favourites on the Modcloth Style Gallery. Love seeing your new stuff on there.
Thanks, Liana – high praise coming from you as your outfits are absolutely gorgeous!!
High waisted vintage style jeans are the BEST ever!!!! I have a few pairs of Freddies ones that I love to bits. Seriously I never thought I'd wear jeans again until I tried on a pair of vintage style ones – glad I never have to suffer through the ordeal of stuffing myself into a pair of skinny jeans again…yikes. Love your headband btw, you wear them so well 🙂
I wish I could have got Freddies to work but my torso wasn't quite long enough for them and I didn't want to pay for alterations (considering I have to get every darn thing else altered too!). You look so fab in yours though! My trick to headbands is making them nice and thick as I look rubbish with my hair flat to my head 😉 Maybe I should write a post about that..! x
They look like the perfect jeans for you!! Really love the headscarf do as well. I've been living in my Bernie Dexter jeans recently, it's funny how I go through phases of wanting to be casual or wanting to be dressed to the nines! x
Ah, I'm just in my jeans all the time I'm not dressing up for the blog 😉 x
One, this outfit is super cute on you Cici ~ I love the way you did your hair with the headscarf and two, can we be lazy clothes buddies? I'm sitting here typing in my panda pants (flannelette pj pants with -surprise- panda bears all over them) going, oh yeah ~ I know what you mean! Lol.
The days I don't have to go out of the house, I barely get dressed sometimes. Usually depending on whether or not the baby has woken up lots in the night. 🙂 So yay for comfy casual outfits! And also, vintage style jeans. I love my Freddies, and it's so cool to see some other brands and how they work as well. ❤

We definitely can! I think you've got an excuse to hang around the house in panda pants considering you have small children, somehow!
I hope to see more jeans looks from you – I loved your last one! xx
Such cute outfit! I love your leopard flats! <3
Cool style!
