Another short summer break over the past few days along the Norfolk coast… where the heatwave just didn’t happen. In some ways – the odd warm beach day and lots of time spent eating local treats in quaint establishments – very good. In others – staying in a caravan when there’s extensive cloud cover and rolling mist/rain making you resort to putting heaters on when the rest of the country is in glorious sunshine – not so good. But all in all, a holiday is about what you do and the company you keep, so top marks all the same.
I didn’t get too many snaps this time, but here’s a few to tide you over until I get back on with my regular posts.
The first day we went to the beach, it was pretty grey.
Things were far improved the next time…
Boy made a good start on the foundations for his castle… but things only really got serious when I helped with the front section. Boy tries to take full credit…
But he can’t take credit for my dolphin! Knew that art A level would come in handy one day.
Needed something to keep the starfish company, you see.
Sometimes even I’m not a fashion goddess (understatement of the century).
But I sure am a goddess of eating. If there were goddesses of eating like pigs, that is.
A lovely shot from a train station in Sheringham decked out in its former glory, complete with antique suitcases here and there.
Real life steam train!
A rare shot of yours truly from this holiday… spot the hair bow.
